Frequently Asked Questions

How much should I increase the volume?
+3dB to +6dB for moderate boost. Be careful not to exceed 0dB to avoid clipping/distortion.
What is clipping?
When volume is too high, audio "clips" (distorts). Stay below 0dB peak to prevent this.
Can I normalize audio instead?
Volume adjustment changes by a fixed amount. Normalization automatically maximizes volume without clipping.
Will adjusting volume reduce quality?
Decreasing volume has no quality impact. Increasing too much can cause distortion.
